Bharati Vidyapeeth was established in 1964 by Dr. Patangrao Kadam, the Chancellor of the University, with an objective to providing all that education can offer to bring about the social transformation. This Vidyapeeth is one of the leading national level educational organizations. It is multidisciplinary in character and has an intellectual rigor and a practical outlook. Bharati Vidyapeeth, a parent body of Bharati Vidyapeeth University is one of the largest educational organizations in India having under its umbrella more than 130 educational units of various kinds. Bharati Vidyapeeth has its campuses in Pune, New Delhi, Navi Mumbai, Solapur, Kolhapur, Karad and Sangli. Within a short span of 11 years or so the University has established its reputation for academic excellence, nationally and internationally. It has enrolled students from all the parts of India, as well as, from 30 different countries. The University is a member of Association of Indian Universities and the Association of Commonwealth Universities. It is really creditable for this nascent University to have received ‘A’ Grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council for itself and for all its constituent units. Some of the constituent units of the University also have been accredited with ‘A’ Grade by the National Board of Accreditation.
