Bishop's University | Canada
Bishop's University, founded in 1843, is an institution whose primary concern is to offer quality education to undergraduate students in the humanities, education, social sciences, natural sciences, and business administration. Bishop's academic programs are broadly-based and stress the interrelationships of disciplines in addition to their specializations. Emphasis is placed on personal contact between faculty and students through small classes and frequent use of seminars and laboratories. The residential aspect and small size of Bishop's University encourage an informal atmosphere in academic, social, cultural and sporting situations. Bishop's students enjoy facilities such as: a theater which offers various dramatic productions, concerts and films; an art gallery with frequent exhibitions; a sports complex with tennis and squash courts, indoor and outdoor pools, gymnasium, weight training room, martial arts space and dance studio.
