Jiamusi University was established in 1947, covering 1,490,000 square meterr, its buildings having a floor space of 840,130 square meters, and with has 22 colleges, and 1 departments directly under the university. Now it has become a key comprehensive university, largest in scale with the most courses and is more formidable with integrated strength among provincial institutions of higher learning. The Ministry of Health of the People’s Republic of China and the Heilongjiang General Medical Training Center are also located in JU.
