Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology | Graduate diploma / certificate | Health & Well-Being | On Campus | 1 year | The University of Queensland | Australia
Epidemiology is one of the core sciences of public health and has made major contributions to improving population health and increasing life expectancy. If you're interested in studying the distribution and determinants of health and disease, a degree in epidemiology is for you. The Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology is a one-year program designed for applicants who have an approved degree, or who have completed the Graduate Certificate in Epidemiology from UQ. See 'Program Details' for more information. Complete one field of study: either Clinical Epidemiology, which applies the principles of epidemiology to clinical practice and patient care, or the 'Standard' field, which focuses on a range of different population groups. Complete compulsory courses, which will build and extend your knowledge of epidemiology as a discipline and develop your methodological skills, along with elective courses, which cover research, public health, and more. Choose to progress to the Master of Epidemiology. Because courses in the Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology are taken from the Master of Epidemiology course list, you can transfer study credits across the programs.
