The Bachelor of Architecture involves full-time education that extends over six semesters and consists of lectures, projects, and continuous evaluation. The purpose of this program is to educate candidates in order to register with the South African Council for the Architectural Profession in the appropriate category for which they qualify, in terms of the provisions of the Architectural Profession Act 44 of 2000. The degree BArch provides access to the BArchHons degree.
