The MBChB program is a five-year program, divided into three phases (10 semesters). A hallmark of this program is the integrated modules from the first year (i.e. students’ professional identify as future medical practitioners is formed from the first year) as well as integrated medical science assessments (MIMA examinations). Kovsie doctors graduate with excellent skills, knowledge, and attitudes, based on the required competencies prescribed by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). The program is accredited by SAQA and the HPCSA.
