Biomedical Engineering is the branch of engineering focusing on the field of medicine where traditional ;techniques of electronic, mechanic, aeronautic, chemical, telecommunications, material engineering and informatics are applied to the analysis and solutions of problems related to medicine and biology of the 21st century. Due to its interdisciplinary nature, biomedical engineering requires expertise in the basic sciences of engineering (mathematics, physics and applied chemistry) as well as of the biomedical fields (molecular and cellular biology, biochemistry, anatomy, physiology and regenerative medicine).
