The purpose of Internship programme is to provide an entry-level portal into our organisation for potential employment and to provide learning and development opportunities. Our programs provide students with an opportunity to gain practical work experience and exposing them to the key aspects of English Language education business. It also provides experience in an English speaking work environment in a multi-cultural setting. Our internship programmes offer a 24 week placement, with the possibility of extension. Interns are also offered opportunities to attend professional development seminars as part of their internship experience, and may provide housing or housing assistance if needed. Applicants to the ABC College of English internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements: Have a second language other than English; Have an intermediate or above level of English Language proficiency; Show that the internship is part of their career aspirations; Be computer literate in standard software applications. Have a demonstrated an interest in the education sector; Have a demonstrated ability to successfully interact with individuals of different cultural backgrounds and beliefs, which include willingness to try and understand and be tolerant of differing opinions and views. An intermediate level of fluency in English, both oral and written, is required. Applicant should have a B1+ or above level of English, as determined by the Council of Europe Framework of Reference (CEFR). Applicants are not required to have professional work experience for participation in the internship programme. However, experience in learning or teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language is an advantage. Applicants should be familiar with file hosting services (such as Dropbox) and Mac computers. Applicants should have a demonstrated ability to successfully work and interact in a multi-cultural environment.
