The property industry offers exciting careers for graduates, and a postgraduate degree maximises your chances of success in this profession in New Zealand and overseas. The department actively helps you find employment. Senior staff work with the Business School Careers Centre to create workshops and networking opportunities. A BProp requires you to complete 24 courses (360 points). It is a three-year degree programme. In your first year of study you will complete seven compulsory core business courses, which will become the building blocks for your degree. The second and third years comprise more specialized property courses, including valuation, finance and investment, economics, law, land use planning and controls, marketing, management, and building construction.
In your final year you will continue to develop your knowledge in the major areas of property and demonstrate your learning in an applied property project.
