This programme is for Chinese students with an existing high level of competence of English translation. It will allow students to develop specialist translation and interpreting skills, working in both Chinese and English. Students will be trained to provide specialist language services in a variety of contexts, but particularly in the world of business. It will teach students how to use the latest translation management software and will develop enterprise skills suitable for professional translators and interpreters working in China, the UK and beyond. There are international placement opportunities made available during semester 2. Students are able to visit the language services of international organisations, government departments and commercial enterprises in order to gain insights into working practice.
