The course is very much structured around practical project work and is taught by practitioners and lecturers all of whom have specialist knowledge of their own subject area. A range of generic studio skills is taught throughout the course, which can be applied to any of the core 3D Design disciplines and a range of professional 2D/3D computer software is embedded into this. A diverse range of 3D practical skills in the workshop is developed through project work assignments and this includes the opportunity to work with an exciting range of 3D materials and processes in a spacious learning environment. There is also a strong emphasis throughout the course towards professional development and this is culminated in the 2nd year as students are expected to participate in a 90 hour work placement.
