Applied Translation Studies | Master's degree | Languages | On Campus | 2 years | University of East Anglia | United Kingdom
Translation is a huge growth industry and the demand for well-qualified translators is steadily increasing across the globe. This programme enables students to apply the theory of translation in a wide range of practical ways, offering a wealth of opportunities to expand their practical experience in readiness for a move into professional translation. The MA also provides a solid base for those wishing to pursue further postgraduate research in Translation Studies. Students benefit from our established experience in Applied Translation Studies where we are continually building on the MA’s proven strengths. The course contains a large practical component and takes a comparative, cross-cultural approach; students submit their own translations for discussion and are encouraged to become involved in the editing of Norwich Papers, an in-house collection of students' work; all students work with English and one or more other languages.
