The Medical Sciences Summer School: Transplantation Medicine at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands aims to introduce medical students into the various aspects of solid organ transplantation with focus on the limitations/complications we are facing today. Students are taught how best to understand/tackle these problems by performing scientific research.
Specifically focused on clinical-scientific research and to improve patient care, Groningen's 4-day Transplantation Medicine education course stimulates students’ interest in research and introduces them to the various aspects of solid organ transplantation with a focus on limitations and complications. This Transplantation Medicine program is limited to 24 students, and the format is based on the intense interaction between students and masters.
