China plays an important role on the global stage and is one of the world's largest economies. This degree combines core and optional modules allowing you to become proficient in a major world language while gaining a broader understanding of the History and culture of China and East Asia as a whole. We teach Chinese from beginners' level, but if you already have some knowledge of the subject we can normally accommodate you.If you have A level Russian or equivalent, this degree will improve and refine your language skills while exploring Russian culture, History and politics. You'll study core modules that introduce you to Russian culture and literature as well as improving your language skills. You'll also spend a year studying in Russia to develop your spoken and written Russian. But you'll also choose from optional modules to explore topics from Dostoevsky to the language of the Media.
