Russian A | Bachelor's degree | Languages | On Campus | 4 years | University of Leeds | United Kingdom
If you already have some knowledge of Russian, this advanced course will combine language learning with the chance to study Russian culture, History and politics. You'll improve and refine your written and spoken Russian, while gaining a deeper insight into the context and development of Russian society. Core modules will allow you to build your language skills and introduce you to key aspects of Russian culture, such as music, literature or the nation's modern History. You'll also choose optional modules to pursue your interests, from Fyodor Dostoevsky to gender identity in Russian society. You'll even spend a year at a Russian university to gain first-hand experience. With an active student-led Slavonic society and much of our teaching conducted by native Russian speakers, Leeds is home to a strong community of individuals with an interest in Russian and Slavonic studies. It's a great environment in which to explore a unique part of the world.
