Russian B | Bachelor's degree | Languages | On Campus | 4 years | University of Leeds | United Kingdom
If you haven't studied Russian before, this course will combine intensive language learning with the chance to study Russian culture, History and politics. You'll develop spoken and written Russian skills and gain an insight into life in this vast and diverse country. Core modules will allow you to build your language skills and introduce you to key aspects of Russian culture, such as music, literature or the nation's modern History. You'll also choose optional modules to pursue your own interests, from Fyodor Dostoevsky to culture under the Soviet regime and gender identity in Russian society. You'll even spend a year at a Russian university to gain first-hand experience. With an active student-led Slavonic society and much of our teaching conducted by native Russian speakers, Leeds is home to a strong community of individuals with an interest in Russian and Slavonic studies. It's a great environment in which to explore a unique part of the world.
