It is a controlled health profession requiring an academic qualification and with its own regulatory body and field of action, as envisaged in the Spanish Law on the Organization of Health Professions. According to the report drawn up by the Spanish National Agency for Quality Assessment (ANECA) on the employment of students awarded degrees in Nursing (1 March 2004), after graduating 87% of those students gaining a degree in this field found work, taking an average of 4.1 months to find their first jobs. According to the data from the survey of graduate employment of 2006, 100% of Nursing graduates found their first job within 1 to 6 months after gaining their degree. All of these data confirm the success in training and work of our students, who, once graduated, take on a professional role in society.
