Degree in Physiotherapy | Bachelor's degree | Health & Well-Being | On Campus | 4 years | University of León | Spain
The programme is designed to train in physiotherapy. Graduates of this program find employment within the field of health care (public hospitals, health centres and private clinics, or independent practice in private clinics or home-based care). In addition, many professionals choose to practice their profession in company health care services (workplace accident insurance companies) or in special education schools. Another, increasingly popular health care occupation is as a sports physiotherapist in sports clubs and federations. Besides the context of health care, physiotherapists are also qualified to work in health promotion schemes (educational programs in rural areas, schools and health centres). In health centres, physiotherapists may also exercise their profession in the field of health management (physiotherapy coordinators, nursing management, etc.). In the field of education, physiotherapists may undertake teaching in vocational training institutions and university schools of physiotherapy. Finally, we would like to encourage future graduates to participate in the field of research, where professional physiotherapists have a role within multidisciplinary research groups in the field of health.
