In year one, you will learn historical research skills with the core module Learning History. In Russian, you will take a language module for beginners in Russian or post A-level students and study introductory modules on Russian culture, History, cinema and literature. In year two you will study the core module The Contemporary World since 1945, dealing with global developments and exploring key debates about the origins of our present world. You will also study more optional. Your third year is spent abroad at a Russian university or specialist language school. In year four you will select a Special Subject plus one optional module in History, and you will study advanced Russian language modules.
