This course covers the latest periodontal theories and treatment protocols, instilling you with the knowledge and indispensable skills to treat patients confidently. Particular focus is given to developing clinical techniques in Implantolofy, and providing supervised clinical training in the surgical and non-surgical treatment of periodontaly compromised patients, along with the importance of effective maintenance protocols. You will also work with colleagues from other programmes to discuss management of patient cases with a multidisciplinary approach and sound judgement based on evidence. In the first year you will learn the principles of each specialist area. In the second year, these foundations will be built upon by consolidating your knowledge in your chosen discipline, in addition to modules that focus on advancing your clinical practice and professional competencies. In the third year the nature of evidence-based practice is reinforced, culminating in a professional project or dissertation. At the end of the third year, following successful completion of the programme, you will be awarded an MClinDent in your chosen field of study.
