Project Management at Winchester equips you in both the soft (people) and hard skills (tactical and strategic approaches) to portfolio, programme and project management, so you can work effectively in an increasingly dynamic and complex business environment. This course equips students in both tactical and strategic approaches to project and programme management, creating opportunities for students to acquire the knowledge and skills to work effectively within organisations and the changing external context in which they operate. The dynamic and challenging world of business has encouraged the increasing use of project management across all business sectors. In turn, this has created a heightened demand for qualified project managers, not only in the traditional areas of engineering and technology but also into new fields of practice. These additional areas include health and wellbeing; environmental and community development programmes; education; archaeology; and many of the creative and key service industries (including tourism and event management); inspiring innovative forms of project and programme management.
