This degree, which is accredited by the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine, involves the study of acupuncture from a Chinese medical approach and includes the principles of yin and yang, zang fu organs, qi, eight principle approach to diagnostics and their application to practice. Chinese philosophy is based upon holism, treating the mind and body as a whole, with the prime objective of treatment to enable the client to regain new balance and return to a state of wellbeing. As well as developing an understanding of Chinese philosophy, you will also acquire knowledge of anatomical studies, research and therapeutic skills as well as developing your skills in communication, presentation, reflection, information gathering, problem-solving and evaluation.
