Physiotherapy | Bachelor's degree | Health & Well-Being | On Campus | 3 years | York St John University | United Kingdom

Physiotherapists are autonomous practitioners working as individuals or members of health care teams. They assess, plan, manage and evaluate the needs of patients/clients. Physiotherapy practitioners apply clinical reasoning skills and take a problem-solving approach to patient-centred care. Physiotherapy interventions include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise and electrotherapy, which are used to maximise the function and potential of individuals. At York St John, you will be taught by a dynamic teaching team of health professionals with a diverse range of expertise and interests. Our students have a host of different past experiences which they are encouraged to reflect upon as part of their learning. You will complete a number of practice placements throughout the programme, allowing you to work with patients in real settings under the close supervision of qualified clinicians. We believe that student support is paramount. Each student has an academic tutor and there is also a year tutor to guide you through the programme. Within each year of the course, there are just 40 students, so our students find it easy to establish academic partnerships and foster friendships from the early weeks through to graduation and beyond.
