The Campbellsville program of Art & Design teaches visual literacy, communication, and expression, while training you in the necessary skills, processes, and technologies to thrive in the areas of art and design.
The goal of the Campbellsville University Art & Design program is to be competitive and comparable with any regional college and university; to meet the standards of any arts accrediting organization offering a BA, BS or B.F.A degree; to train artists for any chosen field – drawing, painting, concept illustration, 2D and 3D animation, photography, sculpture, graphic design, commercial art, advertising, product design, pottery, talent and ambition can lead to, without limiting the imagination. We strive to be the best CHRIST-centered visual arts program in the state on Kentucky.
The Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree consists of Art History and Aesthetics requirement of 15 hours, core studio requirements of 26 hours and a choice of emphasis in one of the following: Animation, Graphic Design, Two Dimensional Studio, and Three Dimensional Studio. Each of the emphases areas are 35 hours. The total art program is 76 hours.
