This two-year programme is designed to produce highly competent engineers in software development, security and information systems. It is based on a successful programme that has evolved over a number of years and has a long track record of giving students access to careers in the industry. The programme provides students with the opportunity to complete external competency qualifications along the way, making them a valuable asset to any company who employs them. The programme provides the underpinning knowledge to enable students to prepare for the additional assessment and provides the following distinctive features. The programme will offer three professional streams, Computer hardware and embedded systems, Information systems including security, or software engineering. Modules will encompass the syllabus of the external accreditations including, Cisco Certified Entry Network Technician, CompTIA A+; Cloud+; Security+ and British Computer Society Software Engineering, allowing students to gain the competences necessary to complete the exams to attain external accreditation.
