Through this associate Fine Art degree, students will gain the essential skills necessary for a career as a graphic designer. Students will learn how to develop concepts and aesthetically arrange designs as a means of visual communication. The course will help students to manage time and budget when working on projects in a variety or print and digital-based Media.
Once completed, students will be able to demonstrate the following skills:
Using the basic tools and techniques of the graphic designer
Knowledge of the elements and principles of two and three- dimensional design, color theory, drawing and art historical references
The ability to meet deadlines and incorporate critique recommendations in the work
Using computer Technology in the execution of design projects
Practicing critical thinking skills through the production and evaluation of artwork
Producing a portfolio demonstrating the ability to solve design problems.
