The Associate in Arts in Elementary Teacher Education for Transfer Degree is designed for students planning to transfer to a four-year university ready to continue for a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a preliminary Multiple Subject Elementary Teaching Credential. To earn the Associate in Arts in Elementary Education for Transfer degree, students must complete 60 required semester units of CSU-transferable coursework, including either the CSU-GE Breadth or IGETC requirements and 18 semester units within the major. Students must maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA, including grades of C or higher in each course taken to fulfill the major. Local graduation requirements are not required for the transfer degree.
