Besides future researchers and PhD candidates, the degree trains international highly qualified professionals to work as experts, technicians, senior managers, directors, teachers and educators in a wide range of employment sectors. This Master aims to promote an in-depth and specialised education in understanding contemporary society. It is focused upon society's structures and institutions, its processes and agents of change, and current social problems, as well as the individual and collective forms of action that manifest in contemporary society. The course examines these phenomena as much from a local contextual perspective as from a global societal one. This Master is directed towards graduates in Sociology, but also to graduates from other disciplines that are interested in obtaining specialized sociological training. For these students, there are optional courses such as introduction to sociology, sociological theory, research methods and data analysis.
