Students may already be working in community services or as part of a youth project, or simply have the desire to understand how to better respond to and deal with the challenges of teaching or social work. This course examines contemporary topics such as the London riots, youth crime and alcohol and drug abuse allowing students to understand the impact of government policy on the everyday lives of young people.
