Master of Public Administration | Master's degree | Humanities & Culture | On Campus | 2 years | Australian National University | Australia

This degree examines public organisations, their management and accountability, as well as the way they contribute to problem solving within the broader political and social context – both nationally and globally. It is a professional degree designed for graduates interested in pursuing a career in, or currently working in public organisations in or outside of government. Compulsory courses provide students with solid knowledge of contemporary and historical experiences of public administration, principles of organisational design, financial management and ethics, as well as research methods and evaluation. The degree equips students to navigate public sector organisations and networks, provides critical, reflexive knowledge and skills to manage decision making processes, including how to be persuasive. Case study teaching integrating both the theory and practice of public administration is prominent throughout the curriculum. Designed and taught by world class public administration scholars from the ANU’s Crawford School of Public Policy, this Master’s degree fosters well versed and ethical organisational leaders.
