The BEng Advanced Vehicle Engineering will be accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, and offer fast-track progression to Chartered Engineer Status.Students will study modules largely common with the accredited IMechE BEng / MEng Mechanical Engineering in Year 1 of the course, to provide a fundamental understanding of Vehicle Engineering core subjects.The course provides students with the opportunity to study Advanced Vehicle Engineering to a level consistent with accreditation by the IMechE as a route to Chartered Engineer status, whilst encouraging applied work and hands-on involvement through the many opportunities available. LSBU is creating a world-class Advanced Vehicle Engineering facility to support these courses and meet the needs of the Automotive, future Low-carbon Vehicle and Motorsport industry.
