The Associate Degree in Nursing is designed to be completed in two years (after completion of pre-requisites) and qualifies participants to take the NCLEX-RN licensing examination given by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing. Through the duration of the Associate Degree in Nursing students will gain an understanding of the theories and principles that encompass the nursing process and pathological conditions as well as learn how to manage all aspects of the nursing process to achieve positive patient outcomes Upon completion of the Associate Degree in Nursing successful students will be prepared to enter entry-level positions in a variety of health care settings following successful completion of the NCLEX-RN. Associate Degree in Nursing students are also eligible to transfer into bachelor’s degree nursing programs and master’s degree nursing programs.
