The Certificate in Aviation Technology is directed towards students who are interested in excellent career opportunities in the fields of general, corporate, military, and commercial aviation. Through the duration of the Certificate in Aviation Technology participants will learn how to exhibit sufficient knowledge to maintain, inspect, check, troubleshoot, service, and repair Airframe Systems & Components and Power plant Systems & Components. Aviation Technology students will also gain the ability to perform the manipulative skills necessary to conduct Airframe maintenance operations and Power plant maintenance operations. Upon completion of the Certificate in Aviation Technology, graduates will fulfill the Federal requirements to take the FAA certification exams. Upon successful completion of these examinations, applicants may obtain Airframe and/or Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic Certificates.
