It is focused on the requirements of clinicians, clinical leaders, health managers and those wishing to develop a career in applied researcher and will equip students with the advanced skills required to design, implement and evaluate healthcare research which could enhance their current role by a greater understanding and capability in applied research. The program provides a grounding in an overview of research methodologies and approaches prior to an introduction to core subject areas, including health economics and basic trial design prior to greater focus on more advanced trial design. In this way, the program seeks to provide well-rounded education and training in the applied field of research in health sciences.
