Financial technology (or FinTech) is a significant new development that promises to revolutionise the delivery and use of financial services. Given the importance of the financial sector to the UK economy, the UK government has stated its ambition to make the UK a global capital for FinTech. Our exciting new programs aim to service the demand for suitably skilled graduates from the rapidly developing FinTech sector. Banking is one of the most important sectors of an economy. As a primary source of funds for both corporations and households, banks also play a major role in securities issuance, underwriting and arranging, and other advisory based business including mergers and acquisitions. Developments, such as, globalisation, technological innovation, deregulation and increasing international integration have transformed the ways banks carry out their business as well as helping to make the sector more competitive. In addition to gaining skills and knowledge of banking, students on this course will equip you with specialist skills from computer science, including programming using Python, big data and cyber security, which you will need for a successful career in this rapidly evolving sector.
