Get the maritime knowledge and skills to work as a Skipper on a range of restricted limits vessels less than 24m in length, such as harbour ferries, charter vessels and work boats. Delivered at our City or Warkworth campuses in partnership with industry, this programme will prepare you for an interesting career in an industry which requires well-trained people ready to accept responsibility and act in the best interest of maritime safety. Completion of this qualification meets the training requirements of Maritime New Zealand for the issue of an operating license for Skipper Restricted Limits. Award of this license by Maritime New Zealand will also require the completion of: Sea service, MNZ medical, Eye test, Fit and proper check, Oral exam and ancillary certificates.
