Master's program in Geoinformatics | Master's degree | Science | On Campus | 2 years | Aalto University | Finland
The Master’s Program in Geoinformatics from Aalto University is designed to give students both theoretical and practical abilities in the areas of spatial information processing, analysis, visualization and management. The two-year Master’s degree focuses on geovisualization, spatial data analysis, spatial data structures, algorithms and spatial programming, as well as GIS software engineering and application development.
Through the duration of the program you will learn how to design and implements small GIS-applications as well as apply spatial analysis methods to data sets in order to support decision making. You will also gain an understanding of the general rules of good spatial visualization, as well as learn the basic skills in map design. Due to its small size, the Master’s Program in Geoinformatics allows for in individual guidance and personal contacts to the teachers and researchers.
Upon completion of the Master’s Program in Geoinformatics graduates can look forward to pursuing careers in environmental, hydrological, geological, geographical and archeological contexts, as well as work in planning, security and safety.
