The aim of the Doctoral School of Security Sciences is to train technical researchers who are able to go beyond the traditional, disciplinary approach and solve independent research and development tasks based on real industrial needs through the synergistic, creative application of the acquired knowledge. In this way, the line between previously sharply separated disciplines is blurred, and the project-oriented approach needed to solve practical tasks generates synergies between disciplines, and a novel security science “knowledge angle” emerges. The core members of the Doctoral School have already cooperated significantly in their research. At the same time, one of the basic goals of the Doctoral School is for core members, supervisors, lecturers and guest lecturers not only to strengthen their own research topics, but to complement each other to generate new research topics of interdisciplinary nature and achieve significant results by international talented young people.
