Electrical | Diploma / certificate | Engineering & Technology | On Campus | 10 weeks | Selkirk College | Canada
Selkirk College is endorsed by the BC Industry Training Authority (ITA) to deliver all four levels of Construction Electrical Apprenticeship Technical Training as well as levels 1 and 2 of Industrial Apprenticeship Technical Training to registered electrical apprentices (unregistered apprentices are admitted to levels 1 - 3, space permitting). Each level of training consists of a full-time, ten-week, on-campus program of study. Activities include classroom sessions where as an apprentice you will learn theoretical principals of electricity and applied concepts of the Canadian Electrical Code. Laboratory sessions provide apprentices with the opportunity to observe electrical phenomena and reinforce learning.Upon successful completion of the Level Four technical training session, apprentices challenge the Interprovincial Trade Qualification examination. Those who pass the exam and complete the work-based hours earn the BC Certificate of Apprenticeship, the BC Certificate of Qualification, and the Interprovincial Standard Red Seal Endorsement.
