MA in Archaeology in the Land of the Bible | Master's degree | Humanities & Culture | On Campus | 3 semesters | The Hebrew University of Jerusalem | Israel
The Hebrew University of Jerusalem’s Institute of Archaeology and Rothberg International School invite students from all over the world to study the history and culture of the Land of the Bible, during the Bronze and Iron Ages, through archaeology, texts and ancient languages. The program incorporates both studies in the classroom and in the field, as students are required to participate in major excavations and surveys conducted by top researchers at the Institute (e.g., Tel Hazor, Tel Qedesh, and Tel Abel Beth Maacah), as well as in multiple field trips to archaeological sites in Jerusalem and around the country. A special aspect of the program will entail hands-on experience in many aspects of material culture, both theoretical and practical, utilizing the cutting-edge facilities of the Institute of Archaeology, including the Collection Room, the Computerized Archaeological Laboratory (3D scanning) and the Laboratory for Archaeological Materials and Ancient Technologies.
