The University of Pécs opened its doors in 1367, making it the first and oldest institution of its kind in Hungary. With longer and shorter interruptions, UP has been shaping the young academic society for over six-and-a-half centuries, not just in Hungary, but internationally as well. With a tradition of more than 30 years of offering degree programs in English, the University has become one of the most internationalized institutions in Hungary. We now proudly host over 4,500 foreign students representing more than 110 countries all over of the world.
