This course enables you to top up your existing qualification to a full MSc degree by dissertation. It allows you to carry out research into new and changing areas of accounting practice and apply accounting theory to practical organisational situations.Your research will allow you to underpin your professional knowledge with a research focus and allow you to keep your professional qualifications up-to-date. The course is completed in two stages. Firstly there are two research methods workshops which prepare you to undertake your research and guide you as to the research methodologies that your work should utilise. The second stage is the completion of your dissertation with the aid of a subject specific supervisor. The award is flexible to allow the dissertation to be supervised directly through one-to-one meetings with a supervisor or remotely via email and video-conferencing. The course can therefore be built around existing commitments. Flexibility is further enhanced by the ability to study the programme full-time allowing possible completion within six months or part-time allowing a twelve month window for completion.
