The MLIS/JD combined degree is a four-year course of study leading to the combined degrees Master of Library and Information Studies (MLIS) and Juris Doctor (JD). Through collaboration between our school and the Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie became the first university in Canada to offer the MLIS/JD (Juris Doctor) degree combination. Through this degree students can focus on the changing role of information and technology in our society and the emerging legal and policy framework required to support these changes. Graduates have pursued a range of careers where their legal and information management expertise have given them a critical edge.
