The programme combines teaching and scholarship in gender and women's studies and in English literature. This is a unique programme for students interested in gender and women's studies who want to pursue literary studies or who have a particular interest in women's literature or feminist literary theory. Students take core courses in each of the disciplines and can choose from a range of optional courses in addition to these. This combination is administered from the Centre for Gender and Women's Studies - one of the largest centres in the UK for feminist research, gender studies and women's studies.
