German at NTU is offered as a post A-level subject. Our German course covers language and life in Germany as well as exploring the implications of History, society and politics. You'll examine a range of contemporary German Film and Literature. European Studies at NTU will give you the chance to study the interesting areas of European politics, society and culture. The course will help you to examine the historical, social and political impacts which have shaped European culture and the various cultures which sit within it. German at NTU is offered as a post A-level subject, you'll focus heavily on the German language, life in Germany and the History of the country. It has been created to ensure that you quickly learn the language through language classes before delving into an in-depth understanding of the cultures and societies in which it is spoken.In Year Three you can spend time working or studying in Germany or Austria. Our partner universities are found in Bremen, Freiburg, Karlsruhe, Paderborn, Potsdam and Innsbruck.You'll be taught through the use of lectures, seminars and the latest methodologies and CALL technologies. This course will help you to gain impressive communicative skills whilst developing your accuracy and fluency. European Studies will provide you with a detailed understanding of the many factors which have shaped contemporary Europe. This course offers a unique opportunity to specialise in European Cultural Studies, European Cinema or European Politics and Society. You'll examine how historical, Geographical and cultural factors have impacted contemporary Europe and contemporary issues. You'll be taught by active researchers whose current strengths include, social movements, gender and Cinema and they'll encourage you to question whether there is a common
