Joint Honours degrees enable you to have the maximum flexibility to study subject areas that really interest you. It's been designed to ensure that you receive a rapid progress in the Italian language and in-depth knowledge of the societies and cultures in which it is spoken. This course will introduce you to diverse peoples, nations and ideas from medieval and early modern right through to contemporary history within Britain across to the Americas, Asia and the Far East. Both subjects will help you to enhance your written and verbal communication, independent learning, creativity and analytical skills. Italian at NTU can be studied at a beginner or GCSE level. However, if you wish to study Italian as a post A-level course then you'll need A-level Italian. You'll look at Italian cities, the culture and various forms of translation and interpretation. Italian at NTU will be taught using the latest language teaching methods and CALL technologies. A degree in Italian is important for many careers such as fashion, business and design and it can also give your joint honours course a competitive edge, helping you to stand out within the graduate employment market. You'll also have access to NTU's excellent language resource centres which will aid your understanding of the languages.
