The department can offer supervision for research degrees in many areas of law; applications are particularly invited from students wishing to carry out research in the following areas: criminal justice (including international criminal justice, the law of evidence, youth justice and the treatment of vulnerable witnesses); regulation (including access to justice and the legal profession); health law; human rights; sports law; corporate law (including company law, corporate insolvency law, cross border insolvency, consumer bankruptcy and business regulation); legal education (pre and post qualification, theory and practice); property law; data protection and privacy.
