Joint Honours degrees offer you the maximum flexibility to study subject areas that genuinely interest you. You’ll be able to shape your study according to your strengths, interests and career ambitions. Spanish at NTU will enable you to develop rapid language skills within the written and spoken language of Spanish and you'll explore contemporary Spanish and Latin American culture, society and politics. Communication & Society will introduce you to interesting new forms of politics and economics and how these are vital to understand different variations of communication. You'll also consider the way that our personalities, societies and technologies are always undergoing transformations. Spanish at NTU can be studied as a beginner course or as a post A-level (you will need A-level Spanish to study this level). vThe course has been designed to offer you a rapid progress in the Spanish language and an in-depth knowledge of the cultures and societies in which it is spoken in. You'll explore contemporary Spanish and Latin American cultures, politics and society. You will gain a comprehensive understanding of the countries culture as well as develop a high level of language proficiency. In Year Three you will have the opportunity to spend time working or studying in Spain or South America at one of our partner universities. Our Spanish course will enhance your reading and listening skills as you'll be taught using the latest language-teaching methodologies and CALL technologies and be given access to our fantastic language resource centres. Our Communication & Society course will allow you to examine the rapidly changing transformations society, people and technologies are taking. Therefore, it's important that you understand the different forms of social communication that takes place between individuals, organisations, humanity and nature. This course will also explore the way that communication takes shape through the evolving use of the media.
