The teachings of this Master are structured following a design whose objective is that upon completing this degree the student has acquired extensive knowledge and analytical skills in the following areas: The history of terrorism and the origin of terrorist organizations and their dynamics of action. The profile of militants of terrorist groups and the importance of psychosocial variables in the analysis of terrorism. The characteristics of the main anti-terrorism measures adopted by democratic governments and the difficulties that their implementation entails, including the problems underlying international cooperation. Legislative reforms and the involvement of international organizations in the fight against terrorism. The role of civil society and the collective action of the victims in the face of terrorism. The constitutional limits that exist in the area of anti-terrorism legislation. The role of the Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism, the definition of the main terrorist threats to national security and the responses to them. The design of public policies against terrorism and the comparison of different anti-terrorist models. The differences between the anti-terrorist models that are designed and applied in democratic and non-democratic contexts.
