The Foundation Degree Dance is taught in the vibrant and artistic city of Bristol. Bristol has a long history of theatre and performances, and there are lots of opportunities for students to participate in cultural activities. The course is delivered at our Bristol Institute of Performing Arts (BIPA), which has a 250 and 80 seated theatre, four dance studios, acting studios and technical workshops.This dynamic course offers students who are interested in producing innovative dance performance the chance to develop performance, teaching and choreographic skills in a range of techniques including; contemporary dance, jazz, ballet, commercial dance, physical theatre and tap dance. Technique classes are closely linked to dance performance projects, which take place throughout the year. This Foundation Degree will equip students with the ability to teach dance and to lead dance workshops. The Foundation Degree is a qualification in its own right and on successful completion students will either seek employment or take the opportunity to progress onto a 1 year top-up course, to complete their full degree.
